PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a braking device from becoming overheated and to improve durability of components relating to the braking device.SOLUTION: A vehicle braking device 10 includes: a hydraulic pressure generator which generates a primary hydraulic pressure according to braking operation by a driver; a motor cylinder unit which operates a second hydraulic pressure generated by operation of an electric actuator 72 so as to follow a target hydraulic pressure based on the braking operation; a brake pedal sensor 205 which detects a braking operation amount; a primary hydraulic pressure sensor Pm which detects a correlation value of a braking operation force; and an ECU 200 which performs a control to switch between the operation of the motor cylinder unit based on the braking operation amount and the operation of the motor cylinder unit based on the correlation value of the braking operation force detected by the motor cylinder unit or based on the correlation value and the braking operation amount, in accordance with whether or not the braking operation amount detected by the brake pedal sensor 205 reaches a predetermined threshold value. |
