Pruning &c. shears are combined with an open-topped box 22 for clippings severed by the shear blades 1, 1a, the base 23 and three upwardly-extending walls 24 of the box being carried by the blade 1a and the remaining upwardly extending wall 25 of the box being carried by the blade 1. The shears are otherwise similar to the shears described in Specification 832,644 except that (a) the inner extensions of both blades are of channel formation and (b) a stop 26 is provided on the support 2a of the blade 1a for limiting the cutting stroke of the blades. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 832,644. |
