This document proposes a novel methodology for estimating the photosynthesis in plants in a non-invasive manner, this being based on the infrared measurements of the leaves temperature, room temperature, relative humidity and radiation. This methodology is not considered by any current photosynthesis measurement system. It is recommended to land this methodology in systems based on non-invasive sensors and Field Programmable Gate Array technology, which allows the inner architecture to be modified for implementing different algorithms of digital processing of signals in real time for estimating different physiological variables, such as photosynthesis. Making possible the non-invasive measurement of the photosynthesis will help not to alter the process in a physical or chemical form at the moment of being measured, avoiding mechanical stress. The plant will not be subjected to stress, therefore behaving in an ordinary manner. The fact a system related to the proposed methodology would work in real time, would avoid the delays in the obtention of data generated by systems intended to analyze the plant in specific laboratories or offline. This system will enable preventive and corrective maintenance actions to be performed in the crop, so as to obtain its maximum production. This methodology is useful for the automation of greenhouses and the biological research in field.
|
