An assembly for mounting on a photographic camera simulates a lens mount with engraved or cut markings, the assembly having an aperture for axial alignment with the optical axis of lens 16 and comprising an insert 26 and a retaining cover 36. The cover 36 has fingers 42 evenly spaced about the periphery of an end portion 38 to expose the insert 26 along slots 48. An annular plate 50 secures a flange 44 of the cover 36 to the front 10 of the camera. |
