Systems and methods for correcting a location of a terminal are provided. In various aspects, a processor in a position correction apparatus may associate a reference position with the terminal, and determine a range for the terminal based on the reference position. The processor may also associate a second position with the terminal, and determine if the second position associated with the terminal is outside the determined range for the terminal based on the reference position. Upon a determination that indicates that the second position is outside the determined range, the processor may correct the second position to a corrected position associated with the terminal.

1. A position correction apparatus, the apparatus comprising:
a processor configured so as to: associate a reference position with a terminal, the reference position indicating a position at which the terminal is estimated to be positioned at a first time; determine an area for the terminal based on the reference position; associate a second position with the terminal, the second position indicating another position at which the terminal is estimated to be positioned at a second time, the second time being subsequent to the first time; determine if the second position associated with the terminal is outside the determined area for the terminal based on the reference position; and, correct the second position to a corrected position associated with the terminal determined by using inside of a boundary indicated by the determined area, based on a determination that indicates the second position is outside the determined area.
