PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deterioration of fuel consumption while maintaining power supply to satisfy the requirement of a vehicle, by complementing a shortage due to the input/output restriction of a main battery using auxiliary equipment.SOLUTION: In a power storage system, the main battery for supplying power to a drive motor and an auxiliary equipment battery are connected in parallel through a bidirectional DCDC converter. When a power shortage relative to a vehicle requirement output occurs because of the decreased allowable output power of the main battery, the auxiliary equipment battery is discharged using the bidirectional DCDC converter to enable power supply to a power supply path between the drive motor and the main battery. If the main battery is not sufficiently charged by regeneration power generated by the drive motor because of the decreased allowable input power of the main battery, a part of the regeneration power is used to charge the auxiliary equipment battery using the bidirectional DCDC converter. |
