A slat conveyor comprises a slat body (6) that is supported by a concentric horizontal shaft (7) between a left-right pair of driving endless rotating bodies (5) and that comprises a pair of guide rollers (8, 9) supported in the front and back by guide rails (21, 23) installed on upper and lower substantially horizontal path sections (1, 2). A U-turn guiding means (25, 26) at both ends comprises the guide rollers (8, 9), rotating bodies (27, 28) for controlling slat body orientation, and a driving means for the rotating bodies. The rotating bodies (27, 28) have a turning radius that is the same as the turning radius of the horizontal shaft (7) in a U-turn route section (3, 4) and comprise an engaging part for determining the position and rotating the guide rollers (8, 9). The driving means drives the rotating bodies (27, 28) so that the engaging part rotates in the same direction and at the same speed as the rotational speed of the horizontal shaft (7) in the U-turn route section (3, 4). |
