PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acrylic compound giving an optical material excellent in high refractive index property and also in low water absorption.SOLUTION: The acrylic compound suitable for an optical material is (meth)acryloxymethyl-benzyloxy-naphthalene or a derivative thereof having a substituent group at the benzene and naphthalene rings. The substituent group includes a C1 to C3 alkyl group and a C1 to C3 alkoxy group. A cured product is obtained by curing an acrylic resin composition comprising the acrylic compound, a 2 or more functional, polyfunctional acrylate, and a polymerization initiator.
