<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image decoding device which shortens a processing time of a low-order data processor within a decoder and thereby improves the entire processing efficiency.SOLUTION: The image decoding device comprises a bit stream analysis unit, a VLC decoding unit 10, an adaptive scanning unit, a coefficient inverse prediction unit, an inverse quantization unit, a frequency inverse conversion unit, and a color space inverse conversion unit. The VLC decoding uni 10 comprises: a high-order data processor 16 which performs decoding of high-order data and distribution of decoded data; a low-order data processor 21 which performs extracting low-order data and digitalization with a code of the low-order data in parallel; and a data parallel connection unit 13 which interconnects the high-order data and the low-order data. The low-order data processor 21 comprises a low-order data parallel extraction unit 22, a low-order data parallel code presence/absence determination unit 23, and a low-order data distribution unit 25.</p> |
