<p>A wire branching connecter for branching cables, even if the trunk cable is an active line, comprising; an insulated housing 2, a contact 1 with slits 14 (see also figure 18), a middle portion 21, a left moveable end portion 22, a right moveable end portion 23, and a wire lid 6. The moveable end portions are connected to the middle portion by a connection band 5 so that the moveable end portions can be folded towards the top of the middle portion. The middle portion has trenches 4 and 3, for receiving the branch and the trunk cables respectively. The cables are also received by slits 14 to contact the cables, the moveable end portions are then folded on top of the cables which slot into trenches 31 and 41. A wire lid 6 for positioning a cable end is formed at the end of trench 4. The wire lid may be connected by removable connecting portions (61, figure 16).</p> |
