PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for achieving both an improvement in operability in selecting folders and effective use of a screen area.SOLUTION: An MFP (Multifunction Peripheral) 101 displays a screen including index keys and a list of a part of folders included in a plurality of folders; when the index key 623 is operated, the MFP 101 updates the screen so that the folder, among the plurality of folders, including a first character at the beginning of the name is displayed, and when the same index key 623 is operated again, updates the screen so that the folder, among the plurality of folders, including a second character following the first character at the beginning of the name is displayed. In a folder selected by a user, image data created by reading an image on a document is stored. |
