A cutter head for a dry shaver includes a razor part and a lateral trimmer each comprising a stationary, upper cutter and a reciprocatory lower cutter, the upper cutter of the razor part being a perforated cutter foil, and the lower cutters being components separate from one another, a frame supporting both the upper cutters, and a unitary spring bridge arranged to press both the lower cutters upwards against the respective upper cutters and transmit reciprocatory motion to the lower cutters, the spring bridge comprising a middle part to receive reciprocatory drive and at least two spring bars, each extending longitudinally from end to end of the lower cutters and engaging at its opposite ends against one of the lower cutters. The lower razor cutter 1, Fig. 1, is formed of thin sheets 2 and is reinforced at each end-by a bar 3. The lower cutter 4 of the lateral trimmer is formed like a frame the longitudinal parts 5 of which carry cutter teeth 6 and are connected by a member 7. A unitary spring bridge 10 has three spring bars or leaf springs, i.e. two spring bars 8, 81 associated with the cutter 1 and a spring bar 9 associated with the cutter 4. The central portion of the bridge 10 is engaged by a driving member 11. Preferably, the bridge 10 is made of spring sheet metal. In a modification, only one leaf spring (8), Fig. 2 (not shown) is associated with the cutter (1) of the razor and only one leaf spring (9) with the lower cutter (4) of the lateral trimmer. In another modification, the cutter head has a razor portion and two lateral trimmers 18, 19, Fig. 3. The lower cutters 1, 4 are connected by a spring bridge 10 with a common central portion 11 while a leaf spring 8 provides the connection to the lower cutter 1 and two leaf springs 9, 91 provide the connection to the lower cutter 4 of the lateral trimmers. A U-shaped stirrup 27 holds the cutters 1, 4 in the cutter head. In a further modification, the cutter head is arranged to tilt through 90 degrees between the operative and inoperative positions.
