<p>Provided is a method of designing mold powder for low carbon steel. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method of designing mold powder for low carbon steel includes steps of measuring a difference of a heat transfer amount between a long side unit and a short side unit of a strand casting mold for each powder introduction index defined to be proportionate to the viscosity and a crystalline rate of the mold powder while changing the viscosity and crystalline rate of the mold powder inserted into the strand casting mold with molten steel; detecting an allowed range of the powder introduction index wherein the difference of the heat transfer amount becomes less than a preset value; and determining the viscosity and crystalline rate of the mold powder which must be inserted into the strand casting mold with the molten steel to enable the powder introduction index to be within the allowed range.</p> |
