<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article of footwear for a care-needed person, that has no possibility of inadvertently taken off during walking, that enables a care-needed person to easily put on and take off by own efforts, and that has a simple structure and a low manufacturing cost as well as safe and highly reliable performance.SOLUTION: In an article of footwear (the shoe) 1 for a care-needed person, when the shoe is put on, the insole 5 is stepped on with the heel of the foot to press down the rear end side of an insole retainer plate 4D against its elastic energizing force, and then the rear end of the insole retainer plate is thereby engaged with the lower end of an engaging tongue piece 4C and locked at a position close to the upper face of a base plate 4A. When the shoe is taken off, the rear end of a sole part 2 is hit against the floor surface or the like to pressurize the center part of the engaging tongue piece 4C with the heel of the foot. Then, the engagement between the lower end of the engaging tongue piece and the rear end of the insole retainer plate is released. Accordingly, the rear portion of the insole retainer plate is thereby bent up through the elastic characteristic to the position near the upper end of the heel part 3B of the upper 3, which facilitates taking-out of the foot from the shoe.</p> |
