METHOD FOR TESTING OF BOLTED AND RIVETTED JOINTS IN STRUCTURES BY COMBINED ACOUSTIC EMISSION AND ULTRASONICS

A method pertains to quasi-acoustic emision (AE) ultrasonic testing of bolted and riveted joints in structures made of material(-s) conducting an ultrasound by use of an equipment normally used as an AE equipment, by use of adapted calibration unit as an ultrasonic generator, by use of adapted transducer of accoustic signals into electrical signals as an ultrasonic receiver, and by use of adapted data processing unit as data acquisition device, evaluation unit of useful signals and parameters thereof , as well as for analysis and mapping of data.
