PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a fiber-reinforced member that can efficiently mold a fiber-reinforced member having a long mean fiber length and a high content of reinforcing fiber by combining a pressure molding method and an injection molding method, the fiber-reinforced member from which a body component of a vehicle, a housing component of an electric appliance and the like are manufactured at a high productivity.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a fiber-reinforced member includes a step 1 and a step 2. In the step 1, a melt 511 of a thermoplastic resin is formed in a lower die 10 and a raw material mat 513 made of reinforcing fiber B is put on the melt, and after an upper die 20 for pressing is closed and pressed to the lower die 10 for impregnation treatment, the melt is cooled and solidified to form a body part 51 made of a fiber-reinforced resin. In the step 2, the upper die 20 for pressing is opened and an upper die 30 for injection molding is closed to the lower die 10 to form a die for injection molding, followed by injection molding to form an addition part 55, which is integrated with the body part 51 to form a fiber-reinforced member. |
