A thrust rolling bearing comprises first and second races with rolling elements interposed, a first seal member 36 between the races positioned radially inwardly of the rolling elements, and a second seal member 38 between the races radially outwardly of the elements having a radial flange 66 resiliently strained into abutment with the axially inner face 48 of the first race. In Fig. 2 the bearing contains grease and member 36 is secured to race 14 and forms a capillary seal with race 16. Member 38 has a connection 64 with race 14, and a flange 52 which forms a capillary seal with race 16. To form connection 64, member 38 is first formed with flange 66 radially outwardly diverging from face 48 and the end portion 92 of flange 76 cylindrical. Dies (84, 86, 94, Fig. 4, not shown) flatten flange 66 into contact with face 48 and bend end 92 into a frusto-conical form. Thus areas 100, 104 of high pressure are created to seal lubricant from escape.
