PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel resin composition for a reverse wavelength dispersion film that simultaneously have sufficient positive birefringence, reverse wavelength dispersion property and water resistance.SOLUTION: The resin composition for a reverse wavelength dispersion film contains: modified polysaccharides (A) are the modified polysaccharides which have a photo-dimerization reactive group introduced by chemically modifying at least one hydroxyl group and/or at least one amino group in polysaccharides (a) by a photo-dimerization reactive compound (B). The photo-dimerization reactive compound (B) is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a cinnamic acid skeleton-containing compound (b1), maleimide skeleton-containing compound (b2), coumarin skeleton-containing compound (b3), stilbene skeleton-containing compound (b4), and anthracene skeleton-containing compound (b5). A reverse wavelength dispersion film or sheet is formed from the above resin composition for a reverse wavelength dispersion film. |
