The present invention relates to a telepresence device which enables various verbal or non-verbal interactions between a remote user and a local user. According to an embodiment, the telepresence apparatus may comprise: a camera combined with a direction control means; a projector which is equipped on the upper end of the camera and allows a direction with the camera to be controlled by the direction control means; and a control unit for controlling a direction of the camera by operating the direction control means, extracting an object which the remote user looks at in an image obtained by the camera of which the direction is controlled, generating a projector image related to the object and projecting the projector image around the object by controlling the projector.
