In the case of a magnetically coupled end-fire array, which is constructed especially as a YAGI antenna, a two-wire line is provided at at least one end, which two-wire line is short-circuited by means of a clip, is supplied by applying a voltage to a suitable point between the two wires, and is coupled magnetically to at least one dipole (which is arranged at right angles to it and parallel to its plane), a wave guiding structure (which consists of at least one director located in front of the dipole in the transmitting direction) and possibly a reflector. In order to optimize the radio-frequency properties of an end-fire array of this type in a simple and cost-effective manner, means are provided for precise adjustability of the magnetic coupling of the first director and possibly of the reflector to the parallel short-circuit bracket or brackets, which means are preferably implemented by mechanical/structural design of the two-wire line in the region of the end sections. In this way, together with suitably selected rod lengths, the couplings between the first director and possibly the reflector and the short-circuiting brackets on the one hand as well as the dipole on the other hand can be implemented such that the current in these radiating elements corresponds to the respective required value in terms of magnitude and phase. In the case of a design, of these means, which design is particularly expedient from the point of view of simple and cost-effective production, at least one short-circuited end section of the two-wire line is bent through preferably 90 DEG with respect to its plane and is possibly connected to its remaining part over a line piece which runs parallel to the wires of the two-wire line.
