1,253,493. Control of several D.C. motors. MITSUBISHI DENKI K.K. 30 Jan., 1970 [30 Jan., 1969], No. 4662/70. Heading H2J. [Also in Division G3] Traction motors M 1 -M 4 are supplied from a power-line FL through a thyristor chopper PC associated with a current regulator ACR which receives a reference signal IP and an opposing signal from a current-detector CD. Wheel-slip is detected by voltage-responsive elements VD 1 , VD 2 , so that amplifier CA applies a signal to the regulator ACR representing the voltagedifference across respective pairs of motors. In one arrangement, the feed-back current is zero when the slip is below a given value, and thereafter increases with the slip up to a predetermined constant magnitude. In another arrangement, the feed-back current increases continuously in proportion with the slip. The pairs of motors may be connected in a bridge network with a pair of resistors. A differential voltage detector is connected to the bridge and provides a signal through a filter and converter to the current regulator, Fig. 2 (not shown). |
