<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrosion evaluation method and device for a thermal spraying member which determine thickness of a corrosion layer so as to evaluate soundness of the thermal spraying member. <P>SOLUTION: A corrosion evaluation device comprises: an ultrasonic probe 3 for oscillating an ultrasonic wave with respect to a thermal spraying member A including a sprayed coating 1 and a substrate 2; a signal analysis unit 6 for processing a signal from the ultrasonic probe 3; and a thickness identification unit 7 for processing data from the signal analysis unit 6, and identifies thickness of a corrosion layer caused between the sprayed coating 1 and the substrate 2. The ultrasonic probe 3 is arranged so as to oscillate the ultrasonic wave from the side of the sprayed coating. The signal analysis unit 6 includes a pre-processing unit 6a for extracting a peak frequency by performing continuous wavelet transformation on a reflection signal of the bottom face of the substrate. The thickness identification unit 7 includes a post-processing unit 7a for identifying the thickness of the corrosion layer based on the signal at the peak frequency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
