摘要 The present invention relates to: a method for mutating wild-type Escherichia coli by a genetic engineering method and evolutionary adaptation to enable the Escherichia coli to simultaneously use glucose and xylose; Escherichia coli mutated by the same; and a method for producing biofuel, a bioactive functional substance, a pharmaceutical substance, or a chemical industry-based chemical substance from biomass by using the same Escherichia coli. According to the present invention, the mutated Escherichia coli, unlike a wild-type Escherichia coli, can simultaneously use glucose and xylose and thus can be advantageously used for a enzymatic hydrolysis process by which biofuel is produced from biomass. The method for preparing the mutated Escherichia coli includes the steps of: (1) substituting araBAD operon, araFGH operon, araE gene, xylAB operon, and xylFGH operon inducible promoters of the wild-type Escherichia coli with constitutive promotors; and (2) culturing the mutated Escherichia coli on a xylose minimal badge or on an arabinose and xylose minimal badge for ten days or more.
