PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a response toy capable of diversifying response actions and reflecting the individual character of a user.SOLUTION: A response toy 1 includes a detection part 10 which detects external stimulation, an action part 11 which outputs response to the external stimulation, a first storage part 16 which fixedly stores action data of the action part, a second storage part 17 which stores action data different from that of the first storage part in an updatable manner, and a control part 13 which selects the action data to be output by the action part from a group of the action data stored in the first storage part and the second storage part and drives the action part on the basis of the selected action data.
