<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic mold for producing an antireflective film, which is used for producing the moth-eye type antireflective film, and to provide the antireflective film the rugged shape formed on the surface of which can be prevented from being chipped off or the surface of which can be prevented from being damaged. <P>SOLUTION: The metallic mold for producing the antireflective film has a metallic mold layer, on the surface of which concave parts are formed in a cycle equal to or shorter than the wavelength of a visible light range, and is characterized in that the surface of the metallic mold layer comprises an aluminum oxide layer comprising aluminum oxide and the thickness of the aluminum oxide layer except the concave parts is ≥1/2 of the cycle of the formed concave parts.
