A method of weighing a load

A method of weighing a load lifted by a lifting arm of a machine, the method comprising:
receiving a signal from an axle sensor, said signal representing a force exerted on an axle as a result of lifting the load;
receiving a further signal from a further sensor, said further signal representing an angle or slope of the lifting arm relative to a chassis of the machine; and
calculating, from the received signal and the received further signal, the weight of the load lifted by the lifting arm.
