A motor driving apparatus comprises: a driving unit which supplies a driving current to a motor; and a power unit which converts electric power supplied from an external power source to supply direct electric power to the driving unit. When an electric power supply is cut off from the external power source, the power unit receives electric power from the motor to supply direct electric power. A motor driving device supplying direct electric power to the driving unit receives electric energy from the energy by back electromotive force of the motor when the electric power supply is cut off from the external power source. The motor driving device can break the motor by using the electric energy received from the motor.
