<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alloy electrode for oxygen generation that has high activity to oxygen generation and has high durability without elution of electrode components into an electrolyte when used as an anode in electrolysis of a high-temperature concentrated alkali aqueous solution for producing hydrogen, and to provide a manufacturing method of the alloy electrode for oxygen generation.SOLUTION: The alloy electrode for oxygen generation is obtained by: performing electrolysis using plating solution containing a soluble salt of nickel, a soluble salt of iron, and occasionally a soluble salt of cobalt as well as an amino carboxylic acid and boric acid; and depositing on a cathode substrate, an alloy layer having an alloy composition containing 3-45 atm% of iron, 0.6-10 atm% of carbon, and occasionally 30 atm% or less of cobalt and the balance substantially comprising nickel. Addition of carbon can prevent cobalt, iron and the like in the alloy from eluting while keeping high performance of oxygen generation of the alloy electrode upon electrolyzing water.</p> |
