Shown and described are a device for the liquid-tight sealing of two partially overlapping packaging parts (10, 11), wherein one is a tubular main body (10), in particular formed by a blank of composite cardboard/plastics material, and another packaging part (11) forms the top or bottom of the packaging, comprising at least one pin (D) and a die (M), wherein the pin (D) has at least two spreading elements (1A, 1B, 1C, 1D), which are moved out of their working position towards one another into a rest position to reduce the cross section, in order to allow the tubular main body (10) to be easily pushed on, and a corresponding method and a container produced therewith or thereby. With the aim of achieving the effect that the tubular main body (10) can be easily pushed onto the pin (D) or pulled off from it and with the desire for a construction that is simple but reliable and undergoes little wear, it is provided that the spreading elements (1A, 1B, 1C, 1D) have sealing jaws (2A, 2B, 2C, 2D), which in their working position form an uninterrupted peripheral outer contour (AK), which corresponds to an inner contour (IK), formed by an opening in the die (M), in such a way that between the inner contour (IK) and the outer contour (AK) there remains a narrow annular gap for applying a pressing force from the inside to the overlapping region (12) of the packaging parts (10, 11). |
