The light source device is equipped with: multiple semiconductor light sources for emitting light of mutually differing wavelength bands; a control unit for generating light modulation information for modulating the light of the multiple color semiconductor light sources by determining the current value and duty ratio of a drive signal for driving one reference semiconductor light source among the multiple colored semiconductor light sources on the basis of brightness control information, determining the current value of the drive signals for driving the semiconductor light sources other than the reference semiconductor light source among the multiple color semiconductor light sources on the basis of the current value of the drive signal for driving the reference semiconductor light source, and determining the duty ratio of the drive signals for driving the semiconductor light sources other than the reference semiconductor light source among the multiple color semiconductor light sources so as to coincide with the duty ratio of the drive signal for driving the reference semiconductor light source; and a driving unit for driving the multiple color semiconductor light sources on the basis of the light modulation information. |
