An electronic device supporting a USB interface according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a power supply terminal for power supply; a connection unit which comprises an identification terminal to identify an inserted external device; a charging circuit which charges a battery by receiving power from the power supply terminal; an application processor which executes a process program according to a process mode; a switch which controls power flows by connecting the power supply terminal and the application processor, and the identification terminal and the application processor; and a USB interface control circuit which recognizes the process mode or a user mode according to the states of the power supply terminal and the identification terminal and controls the connection of the switch.
