ANTI-CD40 LIGAND MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY HAVING IMMUNOSUPPRESSION ACTIVITY

PURPOSE: A monoclonal antibody specific to human CD40 ligand is provided, which inhibits humoral immune response in an organism. So that is useful to develop an immunosuppression agent chimera or a human anti-CD40L antibody for a treatment of an autoimmune disease and allergy. CONSTITUTION: A monoclonal antibody from an SCID mouse, named MAb 2B2 is provided which is specific to human CD40 ligand and contains a heavy chain variable region encoded by base sequence of SEG ID NO. 1 and a light chain variable region encoded by base sequence of SEQ ID NO. 2. The monoclonal antibody is prepared by following steps of: immunizing the mouse by an injection of a fusion protein, CD40L-Fc; fusing a spleen cell of the immunized mouse with a myeloma cell; selecting and culturing a hybridoma cell; and obtaining the monoclonal antibody of CD40L from the selected hybridoma cell.
