The present invention relates to a mobile terminal and a web server connection control method thereof. The present invention improves the satisfaction of a user who uses a web service by accelerating the contact/traffic transmission speed between a client and a server in a web based application service. A main purpose of the present invention is to improve the web service performance in a mobile network environment. According to the present invention, a web server connection control method for a terminal of an in-device web proxy includes: a process of transmitting a request for connection to a web server when a request for connection to the web server by a web browser operated in a first operating system (OS) occurs; a process of caching information included in a connection response when the connection response is received from the web server with response to the connection request; and a process of transmitting cached information corresponding to a new request for connection to the web browser or the web server when the new request for connection to the web server by the web browser operated in the first OS or a second OS different from the first OS occurs.
