PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a damper device, and the damper device capable of reducing probability of falling of a mass in usage. ! SOLUTION: A rubber 4 is press-fitted between an outer peripheral face 2a of a hub 2 and an inner peripheral face 3a of a mass 3 provided with a recessed portion 32 recessed toward a radial outer side. Further a recessed portion 24 recessed toward a radial outer side, is formed on an inner peripheral face 2a of the hub 2 in a state of being superposed to the recessed portion 32 in the radial direction.
