PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a photoelectric conversion element arranged to use a perovskite compound, and superior in humidity resistance; and a method for manufacturing a solar battery by use of such a photoelectric conversion element.SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion element comprises a photosensitive layer 13A including a light absorbent. In the photoelectric conversion element, the light absorbent includes a perovskite compound having an element of Group I of the periodic table or a cation of a cationic organic group A, a cation of a particular metal atom M, and an anion of an anionic atom X; and the surface of the photosensitive layer has a contact angle of water of 70-150° at 25°C. A solar battery comprises the photoelectric conversion element. A method for manufacturing the photoelectric conversion element comprises the steps of: applying a liquid solution including MX, AX and a solvent onto a conductive support body 11a; and drying the liquid solution, thereby forming, on the conductive support body, a photosensitive layer having a surface of which the contact angle of water is 70-150° at 25°C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
