PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify the data transmission source of a material for judging what kind of support may be taken for data transmission failure, through a facsimile line, when the data is received through the facsimile line and transfer of the data fails.SOLUTION: When transfer of data fails, the possible cause of that failure is judged and the time when data transfer is enabled is predicted. An error report including the possible cause of failure thus judged and the time thus predicted is generated, and then the error report is transmitted to the transmission source of the data, through the facsimile line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
