PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a virtual endoscopic image which allows residue-hidden inner walls of the large intestine to be observed without performing digital cleansing.SOLUTION: A virtual endoscopic image generating unit 12 generates a virtual endoscopic image on the basis of: an opacity template which associates a voxel value with an opacity, the opacity template being capable of displaying on the virtual endoscopic image both an inner wall of a large intestine area and an inner wall of a residue area within the large intestine area; a viewpoint established in the vicinity of the boundary between a space area and the residue area within the large intestine area; a setting plane which is set at a position separated by a preset distance in a preset line-of-sight direction from the viewpoint; and voxel values on a light ray vector beyond the setting plane, among the voxel values on the light ray vector extending from the viewpoint. |
