The present invention relates to a wall structure of an engine block. The wall structure of the engine block comprises: a liner protection part (10) formed on the top end to surround and protect the outer part of a cylinder liner; a body part (20) extended downwards from the liner protection part (10), and has an open bottom center portion penetrated in an axial direction to protect the outer part of a crank; and a pair of leg parts (30) extended from both sides of the body part (20) to the bottom surface, supporting an engine structure including the surrounding devices such as the crank. A plurality of sections are set from the top end of the body part (20) to the bottom end of the leg parts (30) at certain intervals. The thicknesses of the walls according to each section are different from each other. Therefore, the present invention extends the service life of the engine block and reduces the material costs by securing enough strength in contrast to a rise in explosive pressure in a combustion chamber, and obtains a lightweight wall in accordance to an optimal wall design; thereby enhancing competition.
