The present invention relates to a headlight control system using a light tracking sensor comprising: a light tracking sensor to detect focused light and to output a value to indicate a quantity of the detected light after the light is primarily diffused, and secondarily focused by accommodating light of a vehicle′s headlight (T2) crossing with respect to a vehicle (T1); a determining part to determine whether the quantity of the detected light is the light of the crossing vehicle′s headlight (T2) after a current value received from the light tracking sensor is compared to a predetermined threshold value; and a headlight controlling part to control a vehicle′s headlight (T1) in accordance to the determination of the determining part. The present invention has an effect of minimizing the effect caused by various light sources around a track when a train′s headlight running a track wherein straight and curved sections are mixed is automatically controlled; and effectively and automatically controlling the headlight using a light tracking sensor formed to track only light from the crossing vehicle′s headlight. |
