摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to prevent an S/N ratio from lowering by a temperature difference generated among infrared detection elements constituting each pixel of an infrared image sensor. <P>SOLUTION: An infrared imaging apparatus includes: an infrared detection element array 4 having a plurality of infrared detection elements; a compensation infrared radiation part 2 for radiating a compensation infrared beam having a wavelength that can be detected by the infrared detection elements for each infrared detection element; and a control calculation part 3. The control calculation part 3 controls the intensity of the compensation infrared beam to be radiated onto each infrared detection element by the compensation infrared radiation part 2 so that the total amount of light of infrared beam entering each infrared detection element during a detection period for detecting the current flowing in the infrared detection element becomes the same. The control calculation part 3 also calculates the intensity of the infrared beam entering each infrared detection element from an imaging object based on the intensity of the infrared beam detected by each infrared detection element and the intensity of the compensation infrared beam radiated onto each infrared detection element by the compensation infrared radiation part 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
