PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system, an information processing method, and a program capable of guaranteeing a job free from the influence of an error that occurs.SOLUTION: An information processing system according to the present invention includes: an operation unit receiving an input in response to user's operation; and a main body in which an operating system different from that mounted in the operation unit is mounted and operating in response to the input received by the operation unit. The main body includes: a generation unit generating a command to instruct plotting of a screen corresponding to an active application; and a command transmission control unit controlling the command to be transmitted to the operation unit. The operation unit includes: a receiving unit receiving the command form the main body; a screen plotting unit plotting the screen in response to the received command; a display unit displaying the screen plotted by the screen plotting unit; and a reboot unit rebooting only the operation unit asynchronously with the main body.
