<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that suppresses a reduction in the accuracy of color shift correction.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: image forming means including a photoreceptor that is driven to rotate, scanning means for scanning the photoreceptor with light to form an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor, and process means for acting on the photoreceptor for image formation; forming means for forming an electrostatic latent image for correction for color shift correction on the photoreceptor; power source means corresponding to the process means; detection means for detecting the output of the power source means when the electrostatic latent image for correction formed on the photoreceptor passes through a position opposing to the process means; and control means for performing first correction control of correcting color shift on the basis of a result of the detection by the detection means. When the control means determines that the detection result is abnormal, performs second correction control of correcting color shift by predicting the amount of the color shift.</p> |
