The pump has a pump housing (6) connected with a catheter, and a rotor (7) arranged on a drive shaft (8) in a rotatable manner and comprising conveying blades for fluid. An operating unit is movable opposite to a casing, and an operating device i.e. traction device, is arranged at a proximal end of the operating unit. The housing and the rotor are displaceable relative to each other through operation of the operating unit. A bearing arrangement (15) is arranged on the operating unit and displaceable in a longitudinal direction relative to the rotor. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a fluid pump device.
