PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device which suppresses falling of bristles in a brush part occurring when rotation of a cleaning brush is stopped, and which can reliably remove deposited substances such as a toner and paper powder.SOLUTION: A drum cleaning device 70 includes: a conductive cleaning brush 80 that rotates around a rotation axis to remove a toner from a surface of a photoreceptor drum 2 carrying a toner image; and a wire 90 that beats and drops the toner depositing on a brush part 82 of the cleaning brush 80 by contacting the rotating cleaning brush 80. The wire 90 is disposed along the rotation axis of the cleaning brush 80 and is formed into a linear wire body to be in contact with the brush part 82. While the cleaning brush 80 is rotating, the wire is in a tensile state; and while rotation of the cleaning brush 80 is stopped, the wire is released from the tensile state. |
