<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-way clutch which is improved in high-frequency responsiveness by preventing rollers from contacting an outer member when the rollers return from an engaged state, and a continuously variable transmission which is improved in gear change performance by comprising such a one-way clutch.SOLUTION: In a one-way clutch 21, a plurality of rollers 25 are moved in a circumferential direction accompanied by relative rotation of an outer ring 22 and an inner shaft 23 in a prescribed direction, and power is transmitted between both members 22 and 23 by biting of the rollers into an internal peripheral face 22a of the outer ring 22 and an external peripheral face 23a of the outer shaft 23. Furthermore, the one-way clutch comprises a cage 31 which is fixed to the inner shaft 23, and adjoins the rollers 25, and the cage 31 integrally has a guide member 41 which prohibits the contact of the rollers 25 with the outer ring 22 when the rollers 25 are in a non-engaged state where the rollers do not bite the internal peripheral face 22a and the external peripheral face 23a.</p> |
