Disclosed is a method of setting an interface in a communication modem supporting a plurality of interfaces. The method includes determining an interface with a device to a preset first mode when a reception of a signal from a device connected to the communication modem is detected; and waiting for a reception of data after integrated pins included in the communication modem is set to correspond to the first mode; and determining whether to change the first mode according to a result of receiving the data for a predetermined time.
