METHOD OF EXTRACTING DNA FROM MARINE ORGANISM

The present invention relates to a novel method for extracting DNAs using a buffer solution for dissolving tissues which can rapidly and easily extract high quality pure DNAs which can be used for PCR analysis from small amount of tissues and cells collected from marine organisms having enormous amount of genetic varieties. The method for extracting DNAs comprises steps of: culturing tissues collected from the marine organisms in the dissolving buffer comprising non-ionic surfactants and beads for extracting DNAs; and inactivating proteinase. The method for extracting DNAs can rapidly and easily provide high quality pure DNAs which can be used for PCR in less than 7 minutes from various marine animals and plants such as tissue samples of living fishes, planktons, and molluscas; can be applied not only to fresh tissues but to tissues stored for long time; and shows the same level of PCR results from the extracted DNA solution stored for a long time as the DNA solution freshly extracted. Therefore, repetitive confirmation of DNAs is stably possible and the method can contribute to retain various gene information of the marine organisms.
