<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell stack in which a specific membrane/electrode assembly can be replaced easily, even if the fuel cell stack is compact and constituted by stacking a plurality of membrane/electrode assemblies.SOLUTION: A plurality of membrane/electrode assemblies 4 are stacked while sandwiching a bipolar plate 8 having a fuel supply passage formed on one surface and an air supply passage formed on the other surface, and these membrane/electrode assemblies 4 and bipolar plates 8 are unified by means of fixtures 7 for applying a load in the stacking direction. In such a fuel cell stack 6, single or a plurality of structures 5 each consisting of the membrane/electrode assembly 4 and the bipolar plate 8 sandwiching the membrane/electrode assembly 4, and coupling pieces 12 constituting the fixture 7 by being coupled each other in the longitudinal direction are integrated to constitute a battery unit 13. These battery units 13 are stacked and the coupling pieces 12 in each battery unit 13 are coupled detachably.</p> |
