<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging apparatus configured to prevent an optical path of light emitted from an exposure apparatus to a photoreceptor from being blocked with falling brush bristles, and an image forming apparatus including the charging apparatus.SOLUTION: A charging apparatus 32 includes a housing 41. The housing 41 is arranged close to an optical path 50 of light emitted from an exposure apparatus 39. A charging roller 32A is rotatably supported in the housing 41. A brush roller 32B is rotatably supported in the housing 41. The brush roller 32B has brush bristles 47 electrostatically implanted on a base shaft 46, to clean a surface of the charging roller 32A by bringing the brush bristles 47 into contact with the charging roller 32A. In a lower end corner part 41C of the housing 41 included in a space apart by a predetermined distance L from the optical path 50 toward the housing 41, a nylon film formed of nylon resin having the same charging property with the brush bristles 47 is attached.</p> |
