<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection member capable of effectively protecting the body of a person or an animal, and a contact tool.SOLUTION: A protection member 100 which protects at least a portion of the body of a person or an animal includes: an impact relaxing portion 10 which is changed according to the shape of a part of the person or the animal to be mounted and absorbs an impact; a deformation suppressing member 20 which suppresses the change in the shape of the protection member 100 and disperses the impact absorbed by the impact relaxing portion 10; a close contact surface 30 which is provided in at least a portion of a mounting surface of the protection member 100. The deformation suppressing member 20 includes base bodies 22 made of a hard material harder than the impact relaxing portion 10, and shape defining portions 24 made of a material harder than the base body. The base bodies 22 are lined up along the planar direction of the protection member 100, and the shape defining portion 24 is provided in at least a portion between the base bodies 22.</p> |
